 Allana MoorePregnant Mamas Connection Harmony Childbirth Prep Baby Care After the birth of her second child, Allana realized she wanted to be involved more deeply in birth work and supporting families through their journey. She joined the South Bay Birth Circle to get connected, and soon became trained and certified as a childbirth eductor and doula through ALACE, and has continued her training through Birthing From Within and numerous professional conferences. She has been attending births since 2003, co-coordinated the Alliance for Safe Childbirth, which was later incorporated into BABI, and has been active with BABI and the Coalition for Improving Maternity Services (CIMS), supporting the Mother-Friendly Childbirth Initiative. In addition to teaching childbirth classes at Harmony, Kaiser, and Good Samaritan, Allana also works with pregnant teens at the Bill Wilson Center in San Jose, to support them in getting the information, resources, and support they need. Harmony is grateful to have her warmth and experience to offer our families preparing for the birth of their baby. |
