 Param MatharuComfort Measures for Labor Workshop Slings & Things Elimination Communication Group From an early age, Param felt a draw to birth and assisting women and families through the journey of pregnancy and childbirth. She began training to be a midwife, but after the birth of her son in 2006, she felt called to serving women and their partners as a doula during labor and birth. Her experience taking Birthing From Within childbirth preparation classes in pregnancy led her to complete the Birthing From Within mentor/teacher training herself, to further support her work with pregnant and parenting families. She has studied and practices babywearing and elimination communication with both her son and her daughter, and loves to share her knowledge and experience with others. She has become an expert on babywearing, and the myriad of types of wraps, carriers, and slings out there, and loves to help new families sort through the overwhelm to find what will best fit their individual needs and goals! She has completed Heart and Hands Midwifery Intensives Program, Birthing From Within mentor training, and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
