Restorative Yoga
For Pre and Post Natal Women

This class is perfect for prenatal AND postnatal women who wish to experience a more gentle, relaxing class.

Restorative Yoga uses simple, supported poses (asanas) that are practiced for several minutes at a time with the use of props (blankets, bolsters, and blocks) and helps facilitate deep relaxation and rest.

Softening into poses with focus on the breath to move prana (life force) into and throughout the body using more minimal muscular work, this practice is an excellent way to balance hormones, reduce fatigue, calm the mind, and replenish the body.

Appropriate for:
  • Any trimester of pregnancy, to help bond mom and baby and bathe both in wellness-boosting hormones of relaxation, love, and safety,
  • New moms, from whom so much energy is drained in day-to-day work and caregiving, who are seeking a window of quiet, replenishing time to refill their own reserves, and receive the gift of care, and
  • Any woman who needs some rejuvenation of body and spirit.

Prior yoga experience is not necessary, as classes are tailored to individual needs.
